Welcome to Second Chance and More. You belong here, and your future deserves support. Our free youth development community serves ages twelve to eighteen.

Start by exploring our ten program pathways, from money skills and career exploration to creativity and leadership. A parent or guardian can send a short family interest form. Our team reviews it and follows up about availability, enrollment, and orientation. Signing up does not confirm a place.

Our eight week foundation is only the beginning. Young people can keep building skills, relationships, goals, and opportunities as they grow.

Visit the Youth and Family Hub for trusted resources about school, relationships, bullying, self care, and family conversations. Try the guided homework coach. Take a quiet moment with a breathing exercise, an affirmation, or an optional prayer. Explore Black Boys Belong and the Reflection Room for encouragement and thoughtful choices.

If you are in immediate danger in the United States, call nine one one. The website cannot dispatch emergency services. A message to our team is not emergency help and may not be read right away.

Families, volunteers, and community partners all have a place in this journey. Choose your next step below. More support. More possibilities. Brighter futures.

CHOOSE WHAT YOU NEED TODAY

Come as you are.

These spaces center different experiences. Everyone is welcome to explore respectfully. No public comments, private mentor chats, or personal-story uploads.

THE CALMING CORNER

You don’t have to solve
everything this minute.

Keep your eyes open if that feels better. Breathe comfortably, without holding your breath. Stop if you feel uncomfortable. These activities offer a pause; a trusted adult or qualified professional can help with ongoing distress.

No pressure. Begin whenever you’re ready.

Ground yourself in the present

Look around and name five things you see. Notice four things you feel, three sounds, two smells, and one taste—or simply notice your feet on the floor. Skip any sense that feels uncomfortable.

A quiet reflection

What am I feeling? What do I need right now? What is one kind thing I can do for myself in the next ten minutes?

An optional prayer

God, meet me in this moment. Give me peace for my thoughts, courage to ask for help, and wisdom for my next step. Remind me that I am loved and that I do not have to carry everything alone. Amen.

Prayer is always your choice. You are equally welcome to sit quietly or use the grounding exercise.

When grief shows up

You do not have to grieve on a schedule. You can miss someone, laugh, cry, or feel several things at once. Try: “I’ve been carrying a lot. Could you sit with me or help me find someone to talk to?”

Conflict mediation: pause before reacting

If everyone is safe, pause and agree to speak one at a time. Describe what happened without name-calling, name what each person needs, and ask a trusted adult to help find a fair next step. Bullying, threats, or abuse need adult protection; you do not have to mediate with someone who is harming you.

STUDY & SUCCESS STUDIO

Stuck is a starting point.

Our guided homework coach helps you plan, explain, and check your thinking. Choose a subject and tell it where you are stuck.

This is a structured, browser-based coach, not a generative AI tutor. It cannot review files or verify every answer. Your conversation stays on this page and clears when you reload or choose Clear. Do not enter names, school details, or private information.

Hi! We can take this one step at a time. What are you trying to understand? For math, I can also explain an arithmetic expression such as 18 / 3 + 2.

BLACK BOYS BELONG

Your life has value.
Your future has room.

A space centering Black boys’ strengths, creativity, and lived experiences. Racism and stereotyping are real. You deserve respect, protection, and support—not the burden of fixing other people’s prejudice.

Leadership for this space: Founder Elijah Moore, Co-Founder Rashawn Binns, and Spiritual Partner Minister Howard. Supervised discussions and mentoring will be announced as schedules are confirmed. This page is not a live chat.

Society, identity & the law

Your identity is bigger than a stereotype. Prepare questions with a trusted adult, learn your rights, and discuss real experiences with people who listen.

Know your rights · ACLU ↗

General information, not advice for a particular situation. Laws and rules for minors vary by location; ask a qualified local lawyer about specifics.

Pressure, gangs & belonging

You deserve belonging without threats, weapons, or proving yourself through harm. Plan a way to leave a risky situation and identify a safe adult. If someone threatens you or makes leaving unsafe, get adult support rather than confronting them alone.

Gun laws & your civic voice

Ask what a proposed gun policy changes, what evidence supports it, and whose experiences are included. Compare primary sources, learn how local decisions are made, and practice respectful discussion. Weapons have no place in a disagreement.

PRACTICE A RESPONSE

A friend says, “Prove you’re with us. Carry this.” You think it may be a weapon.

Choose an option to think through your next step. Safety is not a test of courage.

THE REFLECTION ROOM

A little vanity.
A deeper kind of beauty.

A space centering girls’ confidence and inner life. You are a whole person, not a rating, a body type, or a bad moment. Your feelings deserve care. Your choices can support the life you want.

I can be a work in progress and still be worthy of respect.

Attitude, action & your next chapter

Pause before reacting. You can name your feelings, set a boundary, and choose your response. Confidence does not mean accepting disrespect or being pleasant when you need help. Harm done to you is never your fault.

Grow→Change→Meet a challenge→Reflect & choose→Grow again

Growth brings change. Change can bring challenges. You can ask for support, try a different choice, and keep becoming.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Start with one question, one goal, one connection. All programs and services are free. The eight-week foundation is the beginning of an ongoing journey.
